Black Locust Crotch Winged Bowl This is an example of how a piece of firewood can end up. This is a black locust crotch with a couple of mini burls, bug holes, cracks, curl, pith still in it, etc. It has just about everything. It is approximately 14" from tip to tip and 2 1/2" high. It is finished with bolied linseed oil and shellac, then waxed by hand.
